Micron Silver is a pre-mixed, radiopaque silver alloy Glass Ionomer Cement tailored for:
- Restoration of primary teeth
- Core build-up
- Restoration of class I and limited class II cavities
- Serving as a base and liner
Fortified with a spherical silver alloy, this product delivers:
- High compressive strength
- Excellent tooth adhesion
- Sustained fluoride release
Composition:
- Powder: Fluoro Alumino Silicate Glass Powder, Silver Alloy Spherical Powder.
- Liquid: Polyacrylic Acid Solution.
Indications:
- Core build-up.
- Restoration of primary teeth.
- Applications needing radiopacity.
- As a base or liner.
- Class I, limited Class II (low stress-bearing areas), temporary fillings, and more.
- Long-term temporary cusp replacements.
- Intermediate restoratives and base material for class I and II cavities (sandwich technique).
- Class V restorations (non-aesthetic situations).
- Field restorative work using the ART technique.
- Temporary endodontic fillings.
Usage Instructions:
As this is a pre-mixed cement, there's no need to add any alloy.
- Dispensing Powder and Liquid:
- 2 scoops of powder for every 2-3 drops of liquid.
- Tap the powder bottle lightly; don't shake or invert.
- Hold the liquid bottle vertically when dispensing.
- Always close bottles after use.
- Periodically shake the powder bottle.
- Mixing:
- Dispense materials on a mixing pad or glass slab.
- Divide powder into two, then mix the first half with the liquid for 15-20 seconds. Mix the rest thoroughly for another 20 seconds. Aim for a heavy consistency.
- Restorative Procedure:
- Prepare the tooth as standard. For pulp capping, utilize Apacal Art/Cal LC.
- Clean and slightly dry the tooth; don't over-dry. Micron Dentin Conditioner is advised for smear layer removal.
- Mix the required cement amount. Note: 1min 30s working time at 23°C. Warmer temperatures reduce working time.
- Wipe off surface moisture but avoid desiccation.
- Apply the cement using an appropriate instrument, ensuring no air bubbles.
- Shape the filling.
- Set time: 5'00" to 5'30" post-mixing.
Contraindications:
- Not suitable for pulp capping.
- Might cause sensitivity in rare instances. If so, stop its usage and consult a physician.
Warnings:
- Prevent prolonged or repeated exposure to skin and eyes.
- Do not inhale extensively.
- Do not consume.
- If in contact with skin, cleanse with cotton & alcohol, then soap & water. For allergic reactions, discontinue use and seek medical help.
- In case of eye exposure, flush with water and consult a doctor.
- Not recommended for those with severe allergies to its ingredients.
Storage:
- Store between 10°C to 24°C.
- Ensure the cap is tightly sealed after use.
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from moisture.
Shelf Life: 3 years from manufacturing.
