Micron Luting is a translucent, radiopaque, self-curing, fine particle glass-ionomer luting material known for its excellent tooth adhesion and flowability. It caters to a broad spectrum of clinical applications and is available in a universal light yellow shade as Powder and Liquid Kits.

Composition:

  • Powder: Fluoro Alumina Silicate Glass Powder
  • Liquid: Polyacrylic Acid Liquid (Thin Viscosity)

Intended Use: Cementation of direct and indirect restorations and attachment of orthodontic bonds.

Indications:

  1. Cementation of metal-based inlays, onlays, crowns, and bridges.
  2. Cementation of high strength (Zirconia based) all ceramic crowns and bridges.
  3. Cementation of stainless steel crowns.
  4. Attachment of metal orthodontic bands.

Instructions for Use:

  • Powder/Liquid Ratio: 0.19/0.12
  • Mixing Time: 45-60 seconds
  • Setting Time: 2min 30sec (at 23±1°C from start of mixing)
  • Final Finishing: 5 min post-restoration seating.
  1. Tooth Preparation:
    • Prep tooth conventionally. For pulp capping, use calcium hydroxide paste (e.g., Calcigel).
    • Clean teeth using pumice and water, rinse, and blot without desiccating. Surfaces should be moist.
  2. Restoration Preparation:
    • Handle restoration as per its specific manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Powder and Liquid Dispensing:
    • Standard ratio: 0.19/0.12 (1 scoop powder to 2 drops liquid).
    • Dispense powder by tapping the bottle; do not shake. For liquid, squeeze the bottle gently.
  4. Mixing:
    • Combine all the powder with the liquid and mix for 45-60 seconds. If mixing larger quantities, divide the powder and mix in two stages.
  5. Application:
    • Apply immediately after mixing. Avoid air blowing.
  6. Cementation:
    • Coat the restoration with cement and seat it. Excess cement should be removed when it feels rubbery, and final finishing can commence after 4 minutes 30 seconds.

Warnings:

  • Prevent extensive or repeated skin and eye contact.
  • Avoid prolonged inhalation and ingestion.
  • Skin contact may cause allergic reactions or irritation. Clean with alcohol and soap if necessary.
